How to Prepare for ThermiTight® Treatment
To ensure you get the best results from your ThermiTight treatment, follow these simple steps to prepare:
- Schedule your consultation with Chattahoochee Plastic Surgery to discuss your goals and concerns and make sure you’re a good candidate for ThermiTight.
- Inform your provider of any medications or supplements you are taking, as some may need to be adjusted or discontinued temporarily.
- Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for at least two weeks before the procedure.
- Stop using retinoids, glycolic acid and other potentially irritating products one week before treatment.
What to Expect During Your ThermiTight® Procedure
During your ThermiTight procedure, you can expect the following process, which will take about 45 minutes to an hour:
- Your treatment area will be cleansed and numbed using a local anesthetic.
- A small probe will be inserted beneath the surface of your skin to deliver radiofrequency energy to the targeted tissues.
- The radiofrequency energy will heat your targeted tissues, stimulating collagen production that will tighten your skin.
- The probe will be removed, and your treatment area will be cleaned and bandaged.
How Many ThermiTight® Treatments Will I Need?
For most patients, a single ThermiTight treatment is sufficient to achieve noticeable improvements in skin firmness and tightness. However, each person’s skin condition and treatment goals are unique, and some patients may benefit from having a subsequent ThermiTight treatment.
